Mini Tummy Tuck (Mini Abdominoplasty)
If your abdominal skin is tight enough, then perhaps only abdominal liposuction is all that is needed. If your upper abdominal skin is fairly tight but only the lower abdominal skin is in excess, then an intermediate procedure, the Mini Abdominoplasty, or Mini Tummy Tuck, may be all that you need.
Abdominoplasty vs. Mini Abdominoplasty
In addition to liposuction of the abdomen, the Mini Tummy Tuck involves removing the excess skin of the lower abdomen (often called a pannus, removal of which is then called a panniculectomy). The advantage of the Mini Abdominoplasty (abdominal liposuction and panniculectomy) over the abdominoplasty is that it is, as you might expect, less invasive. Less invasive means less discomfort, quicker return to full activities, less possibility of problems, and less scarring including no scar around the umbilicus.
